The artwork
The central image originated with artist and illustrator Walter Crane and dates from approximately 1895–1905. I commercially licensed the source artwork and creatively reworked its presentation for this original Deadpan & Paper design. It's designed to feel old, without feeling like a reproduction.
Because Comfort Colors garments are pigment-dyed, subtle variations in shade and texture are expected. These variations contribute to the softly worn, vintage-inspired character of each shirt.
